Meet Willy

Willy grew up in San Diego as a Navy brat and the son of a Hydronaut!  His education includes San Diego Mesa Junior College (AA Business), San Diego State University (BS Accounting), and San Diego State University (MS Taxation).  After graduate school, Willy moved up to San Francisco and worked at Coopers & Lybrand, where he earned his CPA, before being recruited by The Fremont Group, a private investment company.  After 23 years (and raising three daughters along the coast), Willy left Fremont in 2020 as VP of Tax and Acquisition Services to live the simple semi-retired life in his dream home in El Granada.  As of 2022, he has taken on his current role of Tax Preparer with Parsons’ sister firm, Parsons Accounting & Tax Services, where he focuses on tax preparation as well as tax planning and projections for our investment clients.

In his free time, Willy enjoys riding tandem bikes along the coast with his partner Stephanie, reading, and taking drives through the hills above Half Moon Bay on his motorcycle or in his zippy little car.  He hopes to one day ride his motorcycle on- and off-road to and from Cabo San Lucas with a few buddies.  Willy also volunteers each tax season for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) preparing tax returns for low-income families along the coast.
